Preliminary Science and Agriculture
This is a one-year programme, originally conducted by the Faculty of Science and Agriculture of the University of the West Indies. Students choose a maximum of Three (3) subjects. Passes in at least two courses meet minimum matriculation requirements for entry to the Faculty of Science and Agriculture.
Who is this programme for?
This programme is mounted for persons who do not possess required A’ Levels qualifications and wish to enter into the Faculty of Science and Agriculture, UWI, St. Augustine Campus. This course is also considered an alternative (for nationals of Trinidad and Tobago) to the Pre-Health Professions Programme.
Classes are held daily, Monday-Friday between the hours 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
When will the programme start?
This programme starts in August and normally runs for One (1) year.
Applicants should normally have five (5) '0' Levels (or equivalent), including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and one other subject.
