Early Childhood Care and Education - Administrator

Introduction

The theme Administration includes the general responsibilities of Administrators of early childhood care and education; the different kinds of schools; the process of starting a new school; developing goals and curriculum programmes; staff relations; requirements for registration of a pre-school.

The theme Management deals with planning space for infants; maintenance of food services and safety; staff selection and supervision, financial management and accounting.

 

Who is this programme for?

This programme is mounted for persons who have successfully completed Level II of the Early Childhood Care and Education or individuals who currently manage Early Childhood Centres.

 

Programme Structure

Classes are held twice/trice weekly, Monday-Friday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

When will the programme start?

This programme starts in August and normally runs for One (1) year.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants should normally have successfully completed Level II of the Early Childhood Care and Education or individuals who currently manage Early Childhood Centres.

 

Course of Study

This programme is divided into modules totalling 240 hours
