The Caribbean Journal of Social Work
This journal by the Association of Caribbean Social Work Educators is one of the vehicles through which the Association hopes to achieve critical objectives for the development of a regional voice in the theory and practice of social work.
The Association was constituted formally in Port of Spain, Trinidad in 1997. The principal reason for the establishment of the Association was the deep desire for the Caribbean to have distinctive voice in the International Association of Schools of Social Work.
The objectives of the Association are to:

The articles that were used in the first issue were selected at the fourth Caribbean and International Biennial Conference of Social Work Educators held in Jamaica in 1999 and the Bahamas in 2001 .
