• What is the Open Campus?
  Our Open Campus is based on the idea that the high-quality university education, research, and services available at our institution should be open and available to all people who wish to reach their potential inside and outside of the Caribbean region. The Open Campus has adopted quality teaching and learning experiences, innovative pedagogic design, relevant research and community partnerships, to deliver face-to-face, blended and online learning to all of its communities.

What will an Open Campus do?

The Open Campus will expand the scope, enhance the appeal and improve the efficiency of the UWI’s service to the individuals, communities and countries which it serves (UWI Strategic Plan 2007-2012).

When will the Open Campus begin offering services?
  The Council of the University of the West Indies (UWI) approved formation of an Open Campus of the University of the West Indies in 2007. The Open Campus begin operating as an official campus of the University on August 1, 2008.

Where do I find the Open Campus?

You will find us online at www.open.uwi.edu and on site at over 50 locations across the Caribbean region in 16 Caribbean countries. You can access our courses and programmes anywhere, anytime and anyhow you want to do them.
