We warmly welcome all our friends and alumni of the University of the West Indies (UWI) to our latest initiative - a "cruise and learn" adventure we have named The UWI Open Campus Scholar Ship. Created to appeal to UWI alumni, their families, friends and other interested persons, this will be an extraordinary journey, creating opportunities for wonderful reunions and lifelong memories as we deepen our knowledge of Caribbean culture, heritage, flora, fauna and people while sailing across our beautiful waters, particularly to destinations which have a UWI presence and a physical site. I’ve always imagined traveling across the Caribbean from country to country learning more about the history, culture, music, food and folklore of each location. It will be a wonderful way for our alumni – those in the region and in the Caribbean diaspora – to reconnect with and expand their knowledge about their own heritage and culture. So let’s get on board to experience this unique and fun voyage into our past, present – and future.
